Dr. Vatsala Trivedi (who performed first transplant in Mumbai & created a history! ):
Yesterday a 40 yr old lady of tribal community Smt Ahladi Murmu was declared braindead in IPGMER Trauma ICU and she donated her liver and 2 kidneys cornea and skin. Liver was utilized by recipient in Medica Hospital 2 kidneys went to IPGMER and RNT
 All organs were transplanted  successfully.
When an educated Calcuttan takes decision of donation, media runs after us from that very moment.  I dont know who informs them. And *alas this great lady and the family stay unnoticed by print media inspite of 3 hospitals sharing  organs and organ ambulances running from here to there in heart of Calcutta.*
 I wish this great soul inspires many of us and receives proper respect in print media without harming their privacy. Hope my friends in media houses would do that favour to me.
We are happy that in organ donation month we could at least be able to complete one successful organ donation
 I salute donor family who showed their big heart and proved again that formal education has no relation with broad mindedness.
 It is indeed very satisfying  To have 2 multiorgnan donation from jaipur &Kolkata givi ING life. To. 4 kidneys 2lungs 2livers eyes & skin.
