Dr. Ravi Wankhede, an Ex. Indian Air Force doctor. Setup, the 1st private Licensed Blood Bank at Nagpur. He initiated Blood Component Therapy in Central India. In 2009 he donated a kidney to his childhood friend Salim Chimthanawala. Several organizations including Hon' President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil had invited him and his family to the Rashtrapati Bhavan for a private and personal get together. Rotary International awarded him with the highest individual 'Service Above Self' award. The most important contribution by him was to initiate 'Organ donation and Transplantation' at Nagpur. In 2012 he led the first successful Cadaver Organ Donation in Nagpur. He is Hon' Director of MOHAN Foundation, a leading NGO which spreads awareness and trains Transplant Coordinators. He is the Govt of Maharashtra nominated 'Expert member of 'Zonal Transplant Coordination Center' (ZTCC) of Nagpur Zone. He then served as Hon' Secretary of ZTCC. He has spoken at over 150 platforms across the country. He has stepped down from the post of Secretary ZTCC in December 2019, but continues to inspire and talk on selected platforms. He has passion to sing K L Saigal's song of which Venus Company had made an album 'The Legend' in 2005, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary first actor-singer of India. He has performed on Stages including India International Centre, New Delhi, TV, Radio, etc.
