Semi-online Pledge Registration

Public at large is not aware where the facility is available for registration of a pledge. Body Donation is for the purpose of medical education and research, whereas Tissue & Organ Donation is for therapeutic purpose.

For body donation, the registration of pledge is to be done at the Anatomy department of the nearest medical college. Because the body is to be donated within 6 hours from the death of the donor. This registration is, however, to be done by submitting a hard copy of pledge form, duly signed and witnessed, at the anatomy department of the college.
Whereas, online facility for registration of Organs and Tissues donation is available at the website of National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation, New Delhi (NOTTO) and at ROTTO / SOTTO Mumbai, ZTCC Mumbai as well as with many other NGOs.

There is always a common misconception that the registrations Organs & Tissues as well as the entire Body are one and the same. Because of which, they normally omit to register the pledges for both. Taking this into consideration, we have made available the facility for the composite pledge for all Nobel donations, i.e. Organs and Tissues as well as the entire Body, in one form by a single click at our website. We take care to carry out registration at appropriate registries.

We elaborately explain to the prospective donors the importance of consent of their relatives regarding all these Nobel donations, which are to be actually done after the donor's death. Let the donor’s relatives be given freedom to make appropriate decisions, which Nobel donations can be consented by them. We convince the donors that they pledge to donate all noble donations, which would be eligible to be donated at the time of their death.

Once the pledge form is duly filled in and submitted on the website, immediately a Donor card, as well as prefilled pledge form will be forwarded to the donors on their email. The Donors are expected to take printout of both and sign the pledge form, get the same duly witnessed and forward it to our office for further processing.

Considering the fact it is more important that donor’s decision should be discussed and understood by theirs near relatives, we have provided a place for signature of donor’s all near relatives on the donor card. The donors are further requested to display their Donor Cards at permanent places in their house so that visitors to their house would know of this proud deed. It will create moral pressure on the relatives to execute the will of the donor. The other distant relatives of the donor can remind donor’s near relatives of the donor's will during periods of grief. Because the consent for these noble donations is to be in short period after the donor's death. This will also create awareness of near relatives as well as distant relatives regarding organ donation.
Besides this we will be requesting the donors to forward soft copies of their Donor card to all their contacts on social media so that the awareness will get multifold spread.

On receipt of physical form at our office, acknowledgement will be sent by SMS or email or WhatsApp message to the donor. We will be forwarding the pledge forms to concerned medical colleges for registration. We will also be sending the information of donors in the form of Excel sheet to ROTTO/ SOTTO for onward uploading to the website of NOTTO registry.

We are proud to state that our NGO is committed to provide 24 X 7, all sorts of administrative assistance to the donor’s relatives at relevant times (after death of the donor) to ensure that the donation is done in hassle-free manner, especially in respect of Skin, Eyes and Body donation.
We all are well aware that when the Donor is ‘brain stem dead’, professional services of an authorised transplant coordinator are always available at all ‘Non transplant organ retrieval centers’ as well as Transplant Hospitals’ without need for any assistance by NGOs.

त्वचा, नेत्र, देह व अवयवदान या उदात्त दानांची नोंदणी कोठे करावी याची सर्वसाधारणपणे माहिती नसते. टिशू आणि अवयवदान हे रुग्णांवर उपचारासाठी तर   देहदान हे वैद्यकीय शिक्षण आणि संशोधनाच्या उपयोगासाठी आहे.देहदानाची नोंदणी जवळच्या वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयाच्या शरीरशास्त्र विभागात (एनाटॉमी) केली जाते. दात्यांची व साक्षीदारांची सही असलेला अर्ज तेथें सादर कराव लागतो. दात्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर 6 तासांच्या आत देहाचे दान करावे लागते.
तर अवयव व टिशूदान नोंदणीसाठी ऑनलाईन सुविधा नॅशनल ऑर्गन अँड टिशू ट्रान्सप्लांट ऑर्गनायझेशन, नवी दिल्ली (नोटो) च्या वेबसाइटवर आणि रोटो / सोटो मुंबई, झेडटीसीसी मुंबई तसेच इतर अनेक स्वयंसेवी संस्थांकडे उपलब्ध आहे.

या सर्व उदात्त दानांत  नातेवाइकांची  संमती अत्यंत महत्वाची, जी दाने दात्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर केली जातात. जर नातेवाईकांना उदात्त दानाची चांगली माहिती असेल तर पूर्व नोंदणी न करताही ही सर्व दाणे ते देऊ शकतात. दुसरीकडे, नोंदणी करतेवेळी नातेवाईकांनी साक्षीदार म्हणून सही केली असेल तरी दात्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर ते त्यांची संमती रोखू शकतात, अशा परिस्थितीत कोणतेही दान करता येत नाही.
मृत्यूनंतर काय दान द्यावे ही त्यांची सर्वस्वी त्यांची निवड आहे. ते फक्त काही टिश्यू अथवा काही अवयव वा संपूर्ण देह किंवा त्या सर्वांसाठी दानपत्र भरू शकतात.
परंतू मृत्यूनंतर कशाचे दान करता येईल हे सर्वस्वी मृत्यूच्या कारणांवर अवलंबून असते. आम्हाला खात्री आहे की आम्ही दात्यांना सर्व टिशू, सर्व अवयव तसेच संपूर्ण देहदान करण्यासाठी एकत्रित अर्ज करण्यास प्रवृत्त करू शकतो. त्यामुळे दात्यांच्या मृत्यूच्या वेळी तो जी   दाने देण्यास पात्र असेल, ती दाने करण्यासाठी संमती देण्याचे नातेवाईकांना स्वातंत्र्य राहील.

योग्य प्रकारे भरलेला फॉर्म वेबसाइटवर सादर केला की ताबडतोब डोनर कार्ड आणि भरलेला अर्ज दात्यांच्या ईमेलवर पाठविला जाईल. दात्याने या दोन्हीचे प्रिंटआउट घ्यावे आणि अर्जावर स्वतः व विटनेच्या सह्या घेऊन तो पुढील प्रक्रियेसाठी आमच्या कार्यालयात कोरिअरने पाठवावा.
 

दात्याच्या निर्णयावर त्यांच्या जवळच्या नातेवाईकांनी चर्चा केली पाहिजे आणि त्या समजून घेतल्या पाहिजेत. हे लक्षात घेऊन आम्ही डोनर कार्डावर जवळच्या सर्व नातेवाईकांच्या स्वाक्षर्‍यासाठी जागा ठेवली आहे. दात्यांनी डोनर कार्ड त्यांच्या घरात सर्वांना सहज दिसेल असे ठेवावे म्हणजे  त्यांच्या घरी येणाऱ्यांना या अभिमानास्पद कार्याची माहिती कळेल. दात्याची इच्छा पूर्ण
करण्यासाठी नातेवाईकांवर नैतिक दबाव निर्माण होईल. दात्याचे इतर नातेवाईक दु:खाच्या काळात दाताच्या उदात्त इच्छेची जवळच्या नातेवाईकांना आठवण करुन देऊ शकतील.  कारण संमती देण्यास दात्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर थोड्या अवधी मिळतो.
याशिवाय आम्ही डोनर कार्ड सोशल मीडियावर त्यांच्या सर्व काँटॅक्ट्सना पाठविण्याची दात्यांना विनंती करतोजेणेकरून जागरूकता  दूरवर होईल.

आमच्या कार्यालयात प्रत्यक्ष फॉर्म प्राप्त झाल्यावर, देणगीदारास एसएमएस किंवा ईमेल किंवा व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅप संदेशाद्वारे पोचपावती पाठविली जाईल. त्यानंतर आम्ही संबंधित वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयात देहदान नोंदणी करू आणि  टिशू व अवयवदानासाठी  NOTTO / ROTTO / SOTTO कडे नोंदणी करू.

आम्हाला नमूद करण्यास अभिमान वाटतो की आमची स्वयंसेवी संस्था दात्यांच्या नातेवाईकांना; दात्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर त्वचा, नेत्र व देहदानासाठी सर्व प्रकारचे सहाय्य करण्यासाठी 24 X 7 वचनबद्ध आहे. मात्र जेव्हा दाता  मेंदूमृत (‘ब्रेन स्टेम डेड’) असतो तेव्हा हॉस्पिटल मध्येच अधिकृत प्रत्यारोपण समन्वयकांची व्यावसायिक सेवा उपलब्ध असते.
